Anybody worse than you is a noob, anybody better than you has no life. I don't know who I hate more but this logic applies to any online games. lol

Or do you hate the regular old noobs more?

I vote experienced players.
I hate neither noobs nor experienced players. But I do hate cry babies. They cry just about anything that put them at a slight disadvantage. They threaten to boycott and blacklist the game. And yet they are still here, playing a game that they hate so much. There is a word describing this kind of behavior... what is it?

I vote for gross, sweeping generalizations.

Is that an option?

u cant really call ppl that.

as was already mentioned, noob doesn't = low level or new to the game. noob = somebody who refuses to listen and does stupid things. The following things bug me a lot and admittedly I see them more on high levels than low:

-not listening to others in the party...
-solo aggro while others are recharging or far behind...
-not waiting when "wait" is asked for...
-bitching about not getting healed (this one bugs me a lot, if I die it's because I died, I can't blame the healer cuz I couldn't get out of a bad situation)...
-spamming : res, res, res

these are about it... and once again, I do see them far more often in experienced players than in noobs... in fact... except for the solo aggro, I don't really see any of them in noobs.

See, I'd agree with you but I think you might've phrased your question wrong. The question I was looking more for was "What do you hate more, inexperienced players or stupid ones?". Stupid one's can be experienced, but they constantly yell at inexperienced/other stupid's without knowing that it won't do anything except annoy teamates. Experienced players don't always yell at newbs and inexperienced players don't always not listen. I'm not sure how I'm going to give a direct answer to the question so I just won't. Hopefully this won't be considered as spam...

Most snobs don't really know how to play their class or their role in a group either - so they are n00bs. Moronic bent of mind doesn't change wether that person is level 2 or level 20. So morons = n00bs = snobs. I avoid those like cholera.

Newbs on the other hand (new players) are perfetly cool. If they have questions, I can spend hours explaining to them whatever I know and helping out in doing missions, whatever. As long as they don't turn into "n00bs".

I realy hate the word noob and i usaly leave the party when people start to spam that word to other people.

Players that is new to this game and players that behave like morons i can handle but people that inslult other players i cant stand. Leave that elitist thinking when you log in to the game and try to have fun insteed.

I personally think both are as bad as each other and the people who post about it are just as be, why??
Because beleive it or not people are influenced by what they read on the Forums, also I strongly suspect the noisiest of players are often avid posters on forums like this.
It is not something thats just limited to this forum, it is on the majority of GW forums although some do have a much strict policy.
Noobs because some times they want you to do the game for them, they actually don't have any desire to learn and experiance the game. Then the experiance players can be the most selfcenter **** sure gits in the gaming world.

Ya like people who have played guild wars for like a month and think their all l33t.

When there are some of us here who have been around since the first days of ultima online where it all started. Even further way back in the mud days which i must admit i still play some.

Just cause someone is lower level in game doesn't mean they have not been around a long time.

Have I mentioned l33t speak blows

My personal pet hate is experienced players who think they can start acting like noobs just because they've hit lvl 20.

The best example I can give is the warrior who charged off in the Underworld (whilst everyone else was waiting for energy to recharge) to cry 10 seconds later,

"wtf ? there was only 1!"

I don't care either way. I'm only interested in having fun playing the game. I'd rather spend three hours just exploring and accomplishing nothing than three hours rushing through the quests trying to get as much money and experience as I can in a short time-span, if you see what I'm saying. The rest of the team could be totally unskilled in every manner and we could end up dying numerous times, and I wouldn't be particularly bothered just so long as they weren't obnoxious about it, and just laughed it off.

As I still go out with henchmen most of the time, you can guess how many people such as those I see around, though.

I cannot STAND rude and arrogant players. I have nothing against inxeperienced people - we were all inexperienced at a stage - but I truly cannot stand rude people. I have had people who have insulted people for no reason, who have sworn at people, who have called people Nazi's, and that is just the beginning of their rudeness. Why people think that they are cleverer than everyone else and can therefore insult everyone is beyond me.

I hate the experience snobes, I call them 'Elitists'. They make no distinction between newbies and n00bs. N00bs can be weeded out pretty easily in the game by the way they act in the outposts for recruiting, wanting players much more experienced then them but trying to be elite about it. Elitists only want to group with someone who is just as experienced and anyone who isn't is a stupid idiot that doesn't deserve to be in the same district.

I have all the time in the world for newbies. I like bossing around a bit (nicely of course) and they listen, then whether we win, I thank them for doing a good job and listening. If we lose, I apologise and ask for a possible new strategy because it was my fault that got us killed.

I also enjoy making small talk in districts when someone asks for experienced players and no newbies, I reply with something along the lines of "I'm pretty good, but I've only been playing since late april so I'm still a newbie"
